In addition to providing expert consulting services, Porewater Solutions also develops innovative software tools.  Our goal is to develop tools which help to improve our understanding of complex sites, and to design more cost-effective solutions.

Click on the links below to learn more about our software products.

Visual Bio – Visualization tool based on a modified radial diagram approach, which makes it easy to visualize where natural and enhanced biodegradation is occurring in groundwater.  Used to prepare visual aids which really help to demonstrate the effectiveness of natural attenuation or enhanced bioremediation.

NAPL Depletion Model (NDM) – Simple screening model to estimate relative timeframes for natural and enhanced attenuation of NAPL source zones, or to improve our understanding of NAPL architecture.

In-Situ Remediation (ISR-MT3DMS) – Reactive transport model for simulating natural and enhanced attenuation of chlorinated solvents, petroleum hydrocarbons, and metals such as hexavalent chromium.  Includes unique visualization tools, and a local domain approach that reduces the computational burden of modeling diffusion-dominated transport.

Vapor-2D – Two-dimensional, density-dependent, soil vapor flow and multispecies transport model (finite elements).  Used to simulate fate of chlorinated solvents, petroleum hydrocarbons, or landfill gas in the vadose zone.

Other software products developed by Grant Carey of Porewater Solutions, which we use in-house for consulting support include the following:
